Obama plans reductions in US Military

Obama is planning to build a smaller, cheaper US Military in the wake of a decade of expensive war fighting. One of the goals listed by Pentagon planners is to aim for a size small enough that we would not be able to fight two extended ground conflicts at the same time. This is the second item of good news to come from Obama this week. Is he just trying to make up for the NDAA or are we seeing the leading edge of a hard core, tough as nails election year strategy?
